💡 Promotion is not the same as progression.
💡 A promotion = you are moving to the next level in the progression framework, into a brand new role.
Promotions logistics:
- The majority of promotion events will align with performance review events
- Managers measure high-performers and proactively plan growth pathways to the next level
- During performance reviews eligibility for promotion will be evaluated against performance and the expectations of the level above
- Managers use reviews to recommend relevant people for promotion approval
- Promotions that need to happen between performance review events.
- Managers reach out to HR who will open a promotion review cycle in Bob for the relevant employee
- Manager review, Peer review and progress against goals will assess performance - which will then be escalated for approval
- To move into a new level, you must be hitting your goals and consistently demonstrating some of the behaviours in the scope of the next level
- Your Manager, Head of Department and HR will asses your promotion review and meet to align on the following:
- New Level
- New Title
- New Salary (within the banding for your new level)
- New job description
- The start date for this change to take effect
- Promotion is not guaranteed, the quality of the review will indicate if you are truly ready to move to the next level and you will be given clear feedback about the decision either way.
- The final decision for promotion sits with your Manager and Department head but will be assisted by HR to ensure a fair and unbiased process is followed.
- The Leadership team reviews all promotions
